POWERHOUSE USA ANNOUNCES TWO TEAM MEMBER PROMOTIONS
Within the past month, Powerhouse USA, a marketing and advertising agency located in downtown Orlando, has promoted two of its employees – Amanda Gaid has been elevated to Creative Services Manager, and Haley Lindback is now the agency's Business Development Specialist. Gaid has been with the company since May 2009, while Lindback joined the Powerhouse USA team in April 2010.
While in her previous position as Creative Services Specialist, Gaid was responsible for creating graphics and generating online content for client campaigns. As Creative Services Manager, Gaid will be overseeing all graphic and content elements of print and online client campaign execution.

CHLOE'S FURNITURE TO OPEN FOUR AREA LOCATIONS

“Out with the old and in with the new!”, that’s how Deshon Hodge, CEO of Chloe’s Furniture describes the opening of the four new Chloe’s Furniture stores in Raleigh, Clayton, Fayetteville and Goldsboro. The new stores, ranging from 35,000 to 50,000 square feet each, are a fresh start for Hodge who formerly ran the Ashley stores at those locations. “We needed a fresh start, with name brand furniture and an approach that better suits this market”, says Hodge. It looks like local residents will get a chance to see that new approach when the stores open on March 24th. Chloe’s Furniture expects to employ more than 80 people full and part time, mostly local residents. At a time when every area is concerned with creating and keeping jobs, the opening of new stores by Chloe’s Furniture is a welcome sight.

On October 2, Hudson’s Furniture won the 2nd Annual Flagler Fun Coast Bed Race and donated the winning bed to a local charity. This event, a quickly-growing local activity in Flagler Beach, was created to inspire community involvement and benefit children and youth programs in Flagler County. This collaboration between Hudson’s Furniture, Flagler Volunteer Services, Kiwanis Club of Flagler County, Flagler Beach Rotary Club, the City of Flagler Beach, and Flagler Beach CRA consisted of a preview party Friday at 5:00 p.m., a parade on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and the race at 4:00 p.m.
