My name is Alex Abad, I recently received my A.S. Degree in Interactive Design from Valencia. I have been fascinated with web design since I first surfed the web backwhen I was in 7th grade. My curiousity kicked in and I began viewing sources from multiple websites, within a couple of weeks I had self taught myself basic HTML and had already began building my own websites. In high school I attended a technical school part time and became a certified web designer. I than moved onto studying and practicing my talents at FAU and later transferred to Valencia where I was taught a whole new aspect of web design. It is amazing how the internet has grown and theirs so many new techniques to be learned, I love this industry and I plan on growing with it as well.
Working for Powerhouse has been an amazing experience so far. I admire their work ethic and determination for producing unique and effective campaigns for clients. We always have something to work on here, I have built up a splash page for two seperate Lincoln Mercury Dealerships, created banners, and I am currently updating and adding new pages to both Powerhouse and OBR websites. As a result of these projects I have been working on, I have gone back to my roots and have had to teach myself certain tricks to be able to complete the tasks. I've learned more about RSS feeds, creating forms, and can break down the coding as to how almost any website has been created. I am thankful for the opportunity to be working for Powerhouse, the hands on tasks have really helped me learn more and will push me forward in my field.
